Day Programs run classes on daily living skills and support groups.
We offer support to clients in the community who might otherwise be isolated or neglected.
Rehabilitation Specialists assist with the daily demands of life, providing services at home, worksite, or another location chosen by the member.
Residential Services provide housing, and with support and guidance our clients can learn skills to help them move into independent living.

PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION (PRP) HOUSING SPECIALIST
Qualifications:
1.
Personal stability, flexibility, energy, and commitment to working with the chronically mentally ill.
2.
Current CPR and First Aid certification; driver's license and safe driving record.
3.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4.
High School diploma and two years related experience.
DUTIES:
Maintain total confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA law, CARF accreditation standards and Maryland State Regulations.
Take part in agency sponsored training programs by supervisor's request.
Attend agency housing meetings weekly, community housing meetings, and establish relationships with community shelters.
Participate in developing person centered treatment plans, monitoring, and documenting progress, that includes housing procurement, financial, and self-sufficiency goals.
Provide high quality treatment and maintain 15 hours a week treatment caseload.
Coordinate treatment and stabilization with identified natural supports and with community service providers.
Assess housing barriers of individuals experiencing homelessness to determine housing and service needs.
Provide mediation and advocacy with landlords on the client's behalf to develop a workable plan to obtain and or maintain housing.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
NARRATIVE:

The Housing Specialist assists with housing search and placement with clients who have co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
AUTHORITY:
Position reports to the PRP Team Leader who will develop individual and group work schedules.
